Traveling to the MA

Some of you may remember that we were part of a trip to France a couple of years ago with my favorite author - Sharon Kay Penman.  The focus of that trip was the spicy Eleanor of Aquataine.  It was an amazing trip, seeing new sights in France and making many new friends.  I also realized that there are a lot of people out there that absolutely love this period of history.  I'm certain we had many on our trip that could have out tour guided our tour guides at many of our stops.  While I love the books, as I've often said, I'm a shallow broad.  I just didn't have the deep knowledge most of the other travelers had.  However, we had a marvelous time and knew we would do another if the opportunity arose.

Fast forward to 2013.  A post on Facebook for our little Eleanor group had me scrambling to convince my husband that England in September was meant for us.  Seeing my enthusiasm, he acquiesced and I was on the phone booking our spot.  I was not alone.  Almost half of the upcoming trip would be filled by our former Eleanor travelers, making it even more fun for us.

It's now August and I have three months of prep to do in two weeks.  I know you've heard this before from me.  I'm one of those people cramming two lives into one.  I'm barely into rereading Sharon's book on Richard - The Sunne in Splendor.  I also need to pack and have one more vacation to squeeze in before we leave.  Wish me luck!
