Today we visited Westminster Abby. This is the final resting place of many famous English and is also the sight of Royal coronations. While founded by Edward the Confessor in 1042, the current church was begun 1245 by Henry III. For you romantics, this is also the sight of most of modern day royal weddings. Come on, admit it, you set up all night with scones and tea to watch William & Kate....
Did I mention that this was the weather we were expecting in England, a little wet and windy? We found this women moving along with her scooter, presumably heading to the Abby.
Lunch was the first time I had fish and chips this week and boy were they good. There's pubs everywhere and we've had our fair share of pints (half pints in my case).

This afternoon we had the honor of meeting with head of the Richard III Society. Why, you might ask, does Richard III need his own society? He was only king two years and died a long, long time ago. You can partially blame Will Shakespeare for creating a fervor around our favorite king, since he had the gall to malign Richard's reputation in his play, Richard III. Portrayed as a hunchback, a nephew killer and all around bad guy, someone needed to set the record straight, thus the need for a society.
Tonight, after an early dinner, we decided to partake in the theatre scene. We saw Billy Elliott, a charming musical about a boy who chose dancing over boxing. The talent present on the stage was outstanding. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
Love the lady with her green rain cape flying out behind her as she zips along on her Little Rascal.
